Job Description

 

1) Inbound and inbound logistics

o Control of transportation budget
o Prepare and submit regular and comprehensive weekly reports to the appropriate
authorities on truck execution and vehicle movements and problems

o Develops effective working relationships with transporters to secure the most cost-
efficient transportation rates and ensures execution of all required business

outcomes.
o Transporters Contract negotiations and compliance
o Continuously monitoring the progress of transporting goods and keep records of
goods transferred and received
o May be required to work non-traditional hours (e.g., after hours calls or weekend
on-call)
o Ensures all payables related to assigned trucks are processed promptly. This
involves verifying the incoming invoice with the information at hand, proper
application of units to contracts, and timely settlements.
o Other related activities assigned by Procurement and Logistics Manager

2) Fleet management
o track fuel consumption, check vehicles and drivers when there are cases of fuel
overuse and monitor driver behaviour. manage fuel fare more effectively.
o Manage budgets implementing cost control measures related to maintenance
operations budget
o Plans, schedules, and direct & tracks vehicle maintenance, fuel costs and provides
periodic reports to senior management
o communication and follow up with Lease service provider
o Maintains accurate records of vehicles
o Weekly reporting to appropriate authorities to include Cost savings analysis, fuel
exceptions, maintenance exceptions
o Oversight of vendor invoices for payment
o coordinate vehicle titles, registrations, license plates, gas cards, insurance and
LeasePlan and drivers
o oversee and analyse operations with the aim of improving processes and
ultimately increasing the overall efficiency of the fleet.

o Other related activities assigned by Procurement and Logistics Manager
• Performing other related tasks as per logistics manager direction.

• Takes care of safety and own health as well as those of the other concerned persons.
• Respects and applies the rules of safety of the division (including Personal Protective
Equipment).
Environment & Energy
• To respect and contribute to the implementation of the instructions on the sorting of
waste.
• To strive to help preserve the outdoor environment.
• To implement best practices to reduce energy consumption.
• To report any incident that may affect product quality, the safety of workers in the
environment, or energy consumption, because of internal stakeholders (employees,
trainees, etc.) and external (outside company’s temporary staff, etc.)

Education: MA/BA degree in Logistics and supply chain, business management, or equivalent.
Experience: At least 5 year relevant work experience

Technical Skills:
• Fleet service vendor Management
• Considerable knowledge of fleet Management
• Considerable knowledge of relevant Soufflet/ET’s policy and procedures in relation to
transport and fleet management
• Considerable knowledge of monitoring and evaluation techniques
• Excellent knowledge of quality control concepts
• Good knowledge of and experience in Vehicle Maintenance Management
• Ability to organize and direct a variety of activities
• Innovative and creative approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work effectively in team management
• Strong issue resolution skill
