the HR functions responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Generic responsibilities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Implement delegated HR function portfolio according to plan of action<\/li>\n<li>Manage recruitment of employees, incentive and casual workers<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and develop HR status reports as required by management<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper filing of documents according to NRC standards and the SSD policy<\/li>\n<li>Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Specific responsibilities<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Organize and participate in staff recruitment in collaboration with HR at Country Office, and support the process of candidate selection, contracting, orientation and confirmation<\/li>\n<li>Manage recruitment of incentive and casual workers, management of personnel filed, and prepare payroll<\/li>\n<li>Initiate new staff contracts, and signing all new hires documents, in addition to management of contracts renewals.<\/li>\n<li>Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organization<\/li>\n<li>Ensure an effective, efficient and up to date staff records and systematic filing of documents, including contracts, leave, medical, awards, discipline, archiving, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare timely processing of the monthly payroll information to the country office<br are important for effective performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Generic professional competencies:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 3 years\u2019 experience from working as an HR Officer in a humanitarian\/recovery context<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts<\/li>\n<li>BA in Human Resources Management, Management or Business Administration<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of the relevant laws and statutory requirements<\/li>\n<li>Documented results related to the position\u2019s responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English, both written and verbal<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Context\/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of the area and context in Benishangul Gumuz Region<\/li>\n<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Ethiopian labor law and social security laws<\/li>\n<li>Good cultural and awareness and sensitivity<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of local languages is an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Good computer application skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database and network
