Job Description

The engineer is responsible for supporting the designing, installing, and testing of grid-tied solar PV systems, stand-alone PV systems, and backup systems.

Job Location: Addis Ababa and frequent travel to various sites

  • Duties/Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with team members and project partners to discuss and assist in developing project deliverables.
  • Participating and supporting teams in the installation of solar PV, solar water pumping, and any electro-mechanical systems.
  • Support senior engineers by providing technical support.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of inverters, batteries, and full spectrum solar systems.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment other than the solar system.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualification

  • BSc in Electrical/Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Installation
  • Minimum 1 year of electrical works experience.
